CLCH High Impact Area Lead for children and young people’s mental health
If you and your school nurse think it would be beneficial for you they can refer you to the High Impact Area lead for children and young people’s mental health who specialises in Children with emotional wellbeing challenges. This is a CLCH service delivered to children and young people attending a school in Wandsworth or Richmond.

CAMHS services receiving referrals and treats young people. (some treatment will be via telephone and the internet in response to Covid-19).

The CAMHS service offers an online Counselling provision via KOOTHS which is available to all Wandsworth young people. Young people can self-refer to this confidential service. Please visit www.kooth.com
A 24 hours a day, seven days a week, Mental Health Support Line for all young people in Crisis is available. They can be contacted on: 0800 028 8000, you can phone during evenings and weekends as well as any other times.
Please do not go to A&E if you are in crisis, instead the CAMHS team have set up the Orchid Crisis Unit at Springfield Hospital, which you may be advised to attend once you have phoned the Crisis Line, above.

Place2be
Place2Be provides child counselling and mental health support within some Wandsworth Schools including primary, secondary. Each school that accesses place2be has a dedicated Place2Be mental health professional who is an integral part of the school team. They work closely with pupils, families and staff to improve emotional wellbeing and provide mental health support for the whole school. They collect data to measure our impact on mental health in schools. This helps us to review and improve our in-school support.
